What we collect

When you sign up for job emails we store the email address you enter, the state and role you choose, the page you signed up on, and the time, IP address and browser details of the request. The IP and browser details are kept to stop spam and abuse.

How we use it

Only to email you veterinary jobs and credential rule changes for your state. We do not sell or share your details with employers or anyone else. Your details are stored on our own server, not with a mailing-list company.

Leaving the list

Every email we send will include a way to unsubscribe, and we delete your details when you do.

Cookies and analytics

This site sets no advertising cookies. If you accept analytics, we use Google Analytics 4 to count page views, clicks from our guides to job pages, clicks on a job's apply link, and successful email signups. Nothing is sent to Google, and Google's script is not loaded, unless you accept. Decline is just as easy, and you can change your mind any time with the Analytics choices link at the bottom of every page; withdrawing stops sending and removes the analytics cookies from this browser.

If you accept, Google sets two cookies in your browser (_ga and _ga_9CTFN2VMFN) that give your browser a random identifier. We ask Google to expire each cookie 60 days after it is set or updated, but the expiry can be pushed forward each time you visit or use the site while you keep analytics on, so it is not a fixed 60 days from your first visit. Google receives that identifier, a fixed label for the kind of page you are on, the site or search engine that sent you if we recognise it, your browser type and an approximate location from the network connection. For apply clicks it receives the job and the employer-site name. We never send your email, the signup form or anything you type, the address you typed or search text, and we do not use campaign tags. We turn off Google signals, advertising features and user-ID. We have set Google's event-level and user-level data retention to 2 months (changes can take up to 24 hours to apply); summary reports Google builds from the counts are not deleted on that schedule.

Your choice (accept or decline) is remembered in this browser, as a choice and a date only, for 60 days, then we ask again. If you withdraw, or your choice has expired when you next visit, we remove the analytics cookies from that browser at that time; we cannot reach a browser you do not open. This site loads no fonts or other files from Google before you accept.

Signups made with the plain form (no JavaScript) and visitors who decline are not counted, so analytics numbers undercount real use.

Job listings

Job listings come from employers' public careers pages and link to the employer to apply. We do not take applications. If you accepted analytics, we count the click on a job's apply link (the job and the employer's website name, not you); otherwise we collect nothing when you click through to an employer.
